Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. A clear and concise description of what the problem is. Ex. I'm always frustrated when [...]

Currently, when students answer a reading question in say, Beezer's linear algebra text or Judson's abstract algebra text, they can only reply in text or LaTeX. It's not reasonable to provide the sketch of a graph or a lattice.

Describe the solution you'd like A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.

It would be nice if students could upload PDF (and similar formats) images with their answer.

Describe alternatives you've considered A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.

Additional context Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.

Found this before I made a duplicate! ;-) More suggestions for this at Summer 2022 workshop in Ann Arbor. Could have just been @twjudson again, but perhaps Matt Boelkins? Pretty easy foir a studnt to get a good PDF out of a camera on a cell phone, so the ability to quickly review these would be great. I think CoCalc uses some javascripty-previewer, so no waiting on an external viewer to open up? Perhaps PDF.js, which may support annotations?

Good project for a student?

I find annotationg and returning an image a cumbersome process. Not sure if that would be desired by instructors, or if a slick interface would make it really easy and hence useful.
