[Comment] Internet Favicon Madness (Updated)
Sadly, Firefox Desktop (v38) is loading the 192x192 icon and scaling it down to 16x16 EVEN THOUGH I have provided a proper 16x16 favicon! This is unfortunate, as my artwork is simplified for the 16x16 format; thus, the icon in the browser tab is just a blurry mess! I can't identify any work-around other than omitting the 192x192 icon.
UPDATE: Success?? I moved the favicon-192x192.png declaration in ASP.NET Core Boilerplate to appear BEFORE the favicon-96x96.png link tag---FF Desktop is now properly using the 16x16 favicon on the browser tab. I don't know what side-effects this might have elsewhere, but my link tag order is now: favicon.ico, 192x192, 96x96, 32x32, 16x16.

No, you are correct Kevin. I noticed a comment in the RealFaviconGenerator change log about this FireFox bug. See http://realfavicongenerator.net/change_log (Search for FireFox on the page).

Use something like Bootstrap which is mobile friendly by default or use media queries if you want to do it yourself.
