Feature Request: 'Mark All As Read' older than a certain time period

Open bjbech opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

When clicking 'Mark All As Read' there should be an option to do that older than a certain time period. The best use case I have for this is for high volume feeds (ex. NYT, The Verge, etc) if you don't check them every day you are given a list of hundreds of articles especially if they are collated in a specific folder. This would allow you clear out older feeds but still have as unread things more recent.

Yes please!

I was sure this was already there and looked for it, but I must remember it from another app.

You can run your feeds through FreshRSS. There is a setting for that.

Is that an option that would be presented by NNW or within the FreshRSS interface?

FreshRSS has a 'per/feed' configuration option where you can set a 'max number of articles' before marking read. I have some high-volume feeds that I cap at 50 latest unread. More than that and I go insane 😊
