iCloud can go out of sync if devices aren't regularly synced

This can happen if for example you don't use your iPad for a month, but are regularly syncing using your Mac.

I don't regularly use my iPad or Mac when traveling for extended periods of time. I noticed recently that my iPhone was out of sync with my iPad and Mac after one such trip.

What is curious is that the iPad and Mac were both in sync with each other. It was the iPhone that didn't match. I removed my iCloud account on the iPhone and all 3 devices were in sync then.

This means that the iPhone had gone out of sync with the iCloud database. Since the iPhone had fewer articles before the account reset, it may not be an issue with the duration of the other devices. It could be that article deletes didn't get sent to iCloud or they failed in someway that wasn't recoverable.

@vincode-io I’ve noticed something similar not so long ago! I have my old iPhone "like a mirror" of the new one and I left it about 2~3 weeks without opening and sync NNW. After take it and sync it the new iPhone and the Mac mismatched. I’ve solved as you, removing and re-syncying the “iCloud account” in all of them.

We are also seeing statuses go out of sync, so that might be the real problem. It might have nothing to do with deletes.

I believe what is happening is that we are getting an iCloud failure while updating article statuses, but that the error is somehow being ignored and we are removing the article statuses from the sync table so they are never retried.

Let me know if I can help somehow, debug or test something! I have the latest version of NNW (6.1) on all the devices, with both iPhones running the latest beta from TestFlight (NNW 6.1, build 6106).

I'm using only iCloud-sync, with a instance of FreshRSS and the Local one disabled.
