Icon avatar in emails

Open MESWEB opened this issue 9 years ago • 6 comments

I saw sometimes some emails included avatars like from github.com. How this works? Webmail download favicon from email sender website? How I can include my own avatar for sending emails?

These avatars come from gravatar.com. Since you have an account with the same email on gravatar, it will be automatically used on your sent emails :)

You can enable/disable Gravatar integration on Admin panel > General.

@MESWEB

You may add your website's icon to RainLoop's special folder:

https://github.com/RainLoop/rainloop-webmail/tree/master/rainloop/v/0.0.0/app/resources/images/services

@MESWEB : explain us how to map mail address to website. If I send a mail from [email protected], I prefer the mail client to use my avatar from gravatar rather than the gmail favicon. IMO, if you want your website favicon in their mail client, set it as your avatar on gravatar.com.

Is there any answer to this issue?
