Explanation of permissions?

It would be pretty helpful to list just exactly what permissions the extension requires, and why the extension needs those permissions.

For example, Firefox is telling me that the extension requires the permission to download files and modify my browser's download history. I currently have no clue why, and I wish the extension's page on Mozilla's add-on website - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/rested/ - would offer me an explanation. I found no explanation.
