Searching for a string containing specific characters changes the entries in app menu

How to file a helpful issue

Qubes OS release

r4.2

Brief summary

Searching for any string containing hyphen (or space) in Qubes App menu, changes the name of the shortcuts in the sub menu.

Steps to reproduce

Open Qubes App menu, search for debian-12, and look in the left panel, which provides the actual shortcuts. The names should be something unusable like debian-12debian-12debian-12debian-12debian-12debian-12debian-12: Qube Settings.

Expected behavior

The previous working behavior : nothing change in shortcuts except the highlighting of the search words

Actual behavior

The menu is unusable.

I've seen it too, I think it happens if the qube name includes a dash character.

.... damn regexes (I've had a problem, I usede regexes, now I have an undetermined number of problems...)

absolute surprise: I don't think it was regexes. Also, this should fix this bug and not break more things, hopefully.
