Seems like the only solution is to patch the respective packages.

I no longer use `semantic`.

The advantages of this are unclear.

Apparently, `enchant` can `hunspell` faster than `hunspell` can (which is kind of weird), but it is still slower than `aspell`. Also relevant: #111

It appears that `hunspell` (~80.7ms) is approximately 10x slower than `aspell` (~9.2ms).

Issue mysteriously disappeared on me.

4. This happens only when moving the point across an empty line. 5. It happens with C-SPC\ too.

6. This happens when moving the cursor in `tex-mode` as well.

Actually, I've also experienced the opposite, namely that `hexl-find-file` did not work correctly, but my automatic hexl did.
