Here is an example of how we deal with it: https://github.com/truecharts/helm-staging/blob/main/.github/workflows/release.yaml But there is also the example of cert-manager who also correctly sign their helm charts.

This is... weird? The maintainers are perfectly capable to follow the example I send them above, I dont see why they need to publically post anything here?
