What would you like to know?

Hello developers, I have a question.

When I try to connect to the Pretendo server using the Korean version of Triforce Heroes, it seems to connect to the Nintendo server instead of Pretendo. Some games like the Korean version of Mario Kart work fine, but only Triforce Heroes doesn't seem to work. Is the Korean version not compatible with the Pretendo server?

The Korean version of Triforce Heroes was released with the final update applied from the launch version. Could this be relevant?

What is the exact error you get when trying to connect

@jonbarrow The error code is 002-0110. I am sure I am in pretendo network because I can use pretendo network when I play Mario Kart 7.

Do you happen to know the title ID of the Korean version? It seems like it's just a missing title ID

Title ID of the Korean version is 0004000000182B00.

Thank you. Do you have a Korean 3DS by the way? I've been looking either for someone who has one or to purchase one myself, as there's something I want to test with them. If you have a hacked Korean 3DS, would you mind giving me a hand with that?

Sorry, I don't have. I have a japanese N3DS that was installed the korean firmware using CTRTransfer.

Damn, okay thanks anyway. Though that MIGHT still give me some insight? When you installed the Korean firmware, did you lose access to the NNID settings and the like? Korean 3DS consoles never got access to NNIDs, so my original question was actually the opposite of what I just asked (trying to see if region swapping an OG Korean 3DS to another region will give it access to NNIDs)

When I am using korean firmware, I can't access NNID settings, but when I boot up with a japanese emuNAND environment, It works well. Additionally, for your original question, NNID services will not work when changing regions to another country from korea as well as I know.

This is a limitation imposed by NNIDs because Nintendo locked them to specific regions. We have no such region locking at the moment

Thank you! This seems to confirm what we were looking for. This was asked in relation to https://github.com/PretendoNetwork/account/issues/101, which proposes requiring a PNID be linked to a 3DS before allowing it to go online as an added security measure. However there were concerns regarding Korean users, since they never got NNID support. It seems that region swapping Korean consoles to another region that has NNID support would work in this case

I see. NNID settings(for signing in to PNID) will be reachable after changing to other countries' firmware from korean 3ds.

Thank you for the confirmation. I've added the title ID for the Korean version of the game to our server configurations, so this should be good to go now

Sorry. It took me a while to check it. It works well. Thank you.
