Audio cannot be adjusted through Android
I am using Wavelet on Android 10, and when listening to music, I would be unable to adjust the volume. This problem seems to crop up after a while of leaving a headphone connected with AutoEQ turned on. Turning AutoEQ off and on again fixes the problem, but it gets annoying quickly.
Thank you for reporting this issue. Could you please provide steps to reproduce it? I'd like to know if you have legacy mode enabled or not, if you have any application installed that could potentially control the sound/volume, what device you use and what ROM and/or Android version. I have experienced similar issues with a different equalizer application that also provides more control over the hardware volume button. The annoying thing is that the issue disappeared, but I am unable to explain why or how.
Thank you for your time, I appreciate it. I'm using a Vsmart Live with Android 10 and the March 2021 security patch. I have not done any customization to the ROM. I don't use legacy mode. My music player, which is Oto Music, has a volume slider and a built-in equalizer, but I use neither of those. I also leave the equalizer in Android turned off.
To reproduce the issue, I simply plug in the headphone and play some music on my phone for 15 - 30 minutes. Both of the equalizers inside Oto Music and Android are turned off, and in Wavelet only AutoEQ is turned on. At some point, the issue will crop up and you would be unable to adjust the volume, even if the audio dialogue in Android responds to the volume rocker.
Is the issue still present in the update from June? (21.06)
The issue is still present after the June update, unfortunately. At this point, I'm thinking of switching to Phonograph to see if the problem still persists.
