[Bug] Instructions on running jmavsim SITL out of date?

I'm trying to follow the instructions here: https://docs.px4.io/main/en/sim_jmavsim/

However getting the following error, has the target name been changed?

make px4_sitl_default jmavsim ninja: error: unknown target 'jmavsim' make: *** [Makefile:227: px4_sitl_default] Error 1

@mrpollo Has all support for jmavsim been removed? I tried this on ubuntu 22.05 and got the same error.

@nshahrestani Did you see the note? I suggest you use Gazebo. I know there was work in macOS to support it recently - though this requires docs from @mrpollo still.

@hamishwillee Got it, for various reasons I'm trying to run the SITL on a raspberry Pi 5 running ubuntu 24.04 and there are is no apt release of gazebo for that platform as far as I'm aware, hence my motivation for trying out jmavsim. Will likely have to build gazebo from source for now unfortunately :(
