I just saw @rbpatt2019 's bio of 'All things VIM' and realized we're going to want a prql-mode for emacs. If we can build a way to eval-region and have it generate SQL that would be killer.

Let's not get into that can of worms :P Can't comment on emacs, but I'd be happy to create a syntax file for vim.

Perhaps, asking a package for Emacs and a plugin for Vim in the official channels in LiberaChat IRC https://libera.chat/guides/clients channels (#vim and #emacs) can motivate people to write the PRQL integrations we need... But, the request, I think, should be made by team members who created PRQL. So that the authority weight will help people to jump in... IMHO.

I do think this would be great for the project!

If anyone wants to own either an Emacs or Vim plugin, we would be happy to integrate it into the project — link to it from our docs, tweet about it, etc.
