Overview of preprint servers

Hi, spurred by issue 22 perhaps this overview of preprint servers is useful as illustration somewhere in this module. We also have a version with all servers linked. preprint-achives-overview-44

Beautiful, thanks so much @bmkramer! Will definitely use. How should I attribute this?

Also what is RG doing on there? ;)

This is a collection of places that explicitly position themselves as a venue suitable for sharing preprints, regardless of openness characteristics of those venues.

BTW we do also have a version (ppt or pdf) with all the logo's clickable if that is useful...

Hmm, I'm not sure if PDFs with embedded links will work in Eliademy. But we can try..! :)

Shall I attribute Bianca and you, CC BY? :)

Just saw Arxiv is mentioned as a repository here, where historically it has actually been a preprint server. If I see it correctly, there is a subtle difference between IR where I can upload my final published PDF (but won't normally upload a preprint), while we upload preprint first to Arxiv, that we can (and sometimes forget) to subsequently update to the so-called AAM version, that would still differ from the published PDF (unfortunately, due to the publisher's negative added value causing that change).

Also, Green OA can be both AAM and final PDF.

No ResearchGate in the groups? :-)
