Document segmentation operators

Open cryos opened this issue 8 years ago • 2 comments

The segmentation operators have evolved to a point where we have a range of available segmentation approaches available, but it isn't obvious to the uninitiated how they should be used. This is because multiple operators need to be applied, and/or the segmentation is tuned to data with a certain form. In the future we should be able to simplify this further with additional user interface to coordinate multiple steps in a pipeline.

I would like to have the developers document what can be done, and the steps ideally pointing at example data that can be used. If there is no publicly accessible data we should see if we can get permission or find alternatives. Things like segmenting nanoparticles, pores, etc would be great, for now I think we can just do this in a Google document.

Hi, I would really like to use the segmentation feature for nanoparticles, but I can't figure out how to use them, any chance this document is ready?

Hi @aaron4444,

The particle segmentation is documented here:

Hope this helps, Matt
