Seems like maybe it snapped out of the trance? Seems to be working quite smooth for me right now.

Yes, but probably should be checked on the server what happened, since the GUI doesn't really like it, gets into infinte spinning and misleading the poor user into waiting for something never gonna happen. There ought to be a clear negative response, or the GUI shall handle the bad gw and timeout errors, and inform the user.

Thanks for reporting this. There isn't anything interesting in the server logs from that time; it's likely that the server was overloaded with requests and began to fail its health checks, which causes the orchestrator to kill and restart it (and can lead to 502 errors for a short period while it comes back to life).

I've opened a separate issue (#873) to track the problem you mentioned with the frontend not showing this error state to the user.
