About: Add additional details
What feature would you like to see added?
The guide could mention/suggest additional details/hints
- Who can review? (intended audience of OSMCha, what skills/knowledge is required)
- Link to or improve linking between guidelines on the wiki and OSM-Compare where needed
(what is good/bad changeset behaviour / user profile / import / other flags, etc.). Related
#670/#598. - Document Teams and Recognized Teams features (assuming they are still used). Related OSMCha/osmcha-frontend - Wiki: Mapping Teams/
#454See also#605,#675 - What to do when you see vandalism? ('see linked page above about vandalism' / 'see references below').
- Also, both the repo at OSM Compare (archived) and the guide at Mapbox: Validating OSM is no longer available (at least at this link).
- Users should preferably leave a comment when leaving a review. See also
#259. - If needed, users should survey the location if they are willing and able to.
- (on contacting other mappers to discuss edits) Where to contact (local) community (link to Contact channels wiki page)
- Additional details about reviews. Related
#393See also#679,#402/#439and#602,#306/#313 - (references); Could have links to other indirectly useful applications, i.e. StreetComplete (Check if feature still exists), MapSwipe (Validate geometry); as an idea, though it is understandable if this is out of scope (not directly comparable).
- It could also be useful to explain what ie. 'Trusted users' are and if it changes the changeset list or dataset at all, also in the trusted page itself.
- What are common pitfalls/mistakes when reviewing changesets or validating in general?
additionally, there could be
- video #659
- on-screen visual tutorial (to complement text + picture) #186
Why would this be useful to you or other users?
Allow other users to better understand function of OSMCha, also within wider vandalism reporting process.
Currently, user might assume clicking 'good/bad' immediately resolves any issues, and has to know of wiki pages explaining process already, or have clicked Vandalism link.
