Warning/error not shown in browser console

large changeset, also has issue loading elsewhere. (okay) returns the following error 'augmented diff contains no elements' (see screenshot)

This error is not shown at all in the browser console. I would suggest checking if such warnings/errors should return a browser console message. Though it does not indicate a bug, it might be good to return such a message to complement the notice, if possible.
