also how do you add hooks properly? the way I did it failed and I had to add another failsafe which probably means I did it completely incorrectly

this issue is done, i think the password is now hashed before being stored locally on `/conf/user` or obfuscated, at least. too lazy to actually check

ok I take that back, ig passwords aren't stored in plaintext anymore but communications aren't encrypted yet

hmm never had this happen in 0.17.6 while I was developing haven't tested out opening heavy apps while opening 0.17.6 to cause lag spikes tho I might look into this...
