What is the migration guide from NS-6 to NS-8 for nativescript-imagepicker?

I upgraded my nativescript app from ns-v6 to ns-v8 recently, and the app builds are not working in terms of the nativescript-imagepicker. I am failing to upload the photos from phone's local storage to app because unlike before, the image extensions are not being found now, and the file storage locations are changed from android-10.

When I look at the plugin repo, there are many migration guides, but no guides from NS-6 to NS-7 or NS-8. I want to know how to migrate this plugin
