BUG:Android device failed to load plugin

Open lin-behappy opened this issue 1 year ago • 8 comments

I installed this plugin on my phone, but when I try to enable it, I get a "Failed to load plugin..." message.

obsidian version:1.6.5

It works fine on my computer and iPad, but I encounter this issue on my Android device. I have tried it on two different phones, and both have the same problem.

That's strange. I daily drive a Pixel 6 and haven't had any issues with the plugin. Could you run the command show debug info and paste the results here for me? Thanks!

Thank you for your response. I'm still experiencing issues with the plugin. Here is the show debug info message and screenshot.

"It's really strange. I tried it on my Android tablet, and it works perfectly. So, I guess it might be an issue with my device's system. Since my two devices are a bit different from stock Android, it might be causing the plugin to fail to load.

However, other plugins like “Dataview” and “Recent Files” load and run normally."

This is quite an intriguing issue. Unfortunately I don't have an Android TV, so can't test that on my end.

I'm wondering if this issue is due to the Android version. What version of Android does your tablet run? You said that your Android 11 TV and Android 10 device don't seem to work with the plugin, yes? My Pixel 6 runs Android 14.

It's not an Android TV. The two devices that could not enable the plugin are my phone (Android 10) and an e-ink reader (Android 11).

My Android tablet (Android 11) can run the plugin normally.

I suspect it's an issue with the system on my devices. The systems on these two devices are somewhat different, for example, they cannot install some Google software like YouTube.

Since this is not a bug with the plugin, I will close this issue if there is no solution.

I think it's fine for you to leave the issue open. This issue may show up again for someone else's device.

Could I get the model names of the two devices you're having issues with? Some specifics on what they are could help a lot.
