reactive: false option?

Would it make sense to add an option to disable reactivity, for collections that are supposed to be static on the server, esp. given the ephemerality of the autocomplete drop-down vs. the lifetime of a server-side collection?

What performance concern are you worried about exactly? Is it the CPU/memory usage of adding 20 autocomplete documents to the server-side merge box? I don't think the client would notice, and there certainly wouldn't be any DDP messages sent after the initial publish. I think this would be premature optimization though.
