Protontricks Version: 1.12.0-synchable1 OS: Kubuntu 25.04 (KDE Plasma 6.3.4; Wayland Graphics) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 8500G GPU: AMD Radeon RX6600

Steam Native Install; symbolic links to .steampath and .steampid located in ~Home Symbolic link .steampath=/home/bkr/.steam/sdk32/steam does not exist Symbolic link .steampid=/home/bkr/.steam -There is a symbolic link to sdk32 in /home/bkr/.steam

Steam and all apps and mods installed on separate SSD from OS Cyberpunk 2077 runs normally without mods from Steam and Vortex using Proton Experimental

When running Protontricks for Cyberpunk 2077 (Native install) I receive the following error:

"Protontricks was closed due to the following error:

Proton installation could not be found!

=============

Please include this entire error message when making a bug report. Log messages:

Found Steam directory at /home/bkr/.steam/debian-installation Found Steam directory at /home/bkr/snap/steam/common/.local/share/Steam Using 'yad' as GUI provider Using default Steam Runtime at /home/bkr/.steam/debian-installation/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime WINETRICKS environment variable is not available. Searching from $PATH. Found 2 Steam library folders Multiple compatdata directories found for app 377160 Currently logged-in Steam user: scoutsarge Couldn't find custom shortcuts. Maybe none have been created yet? No compatibility tool found by reading Steam configuration. Using stable version of Proton as fallback. Could not find configured Proton installation! Active Proton installation could not be found automatically."

After looking closely at the error message I attempted running Protontricks for a snap installation and received the following:

"Unknown file arch of /home/bkr/.cache/protontricks/proton/Proton Experimental/bin/wineserver."

I'm unsure which path to pursue to fix the problem and how to go about using it. So far all other modded games have worked fine without Protontricks. (They have been Bethesda games.) Any help appreciated.

Are you using Steam beta? If so, try going back to the regular version.

I have the same problem. Just installed it and it can't find Proton. Proton Experimental installed. My Steam is not in any beta.

Edit: Found a solution; https://github.com/Matoking/protontricks/issues/267#issue-2022636095 export PROTON_VERSION="Proton Experimental"
