Should a layer having two map-extents of different units be enabled when the viewer changes projection from one of those to the other?

To reproduce:

Load this experiment Open devtools Add the projection="CBMTILE" attribute

What happens

The enabled layer becomes disabled

What should happen

The enabled layer should remain enabled, but load the other map-extent
