Significant CPU time during idle application

Expected Behavior

GIVEN a map loaded

WHEN doing nothing

THEN the CPU time is at or near 0%.

Actual Behavior

The CPU is at about 40% on a single core on my device.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Open CodeCharta
  2. Check the CPU spend by the Webpage with e.g., the Chrome task manager
