Thank you, the codebase is in dire need of a clean up. However, I'm afraid I can't merge this. The new indentation adds a lot of noise, but even if I filter that out the changes are too many for a single commit. Feel free to fork the project and release off of your branch though, I'm looking for a new maintainer and this is a perfect start.

There is a lot of noise, sorry about that 😜. Once I started I couldn't stop! Unfortunately I don't have the bandwidth to be a maintainer. It is a really neat use of a document based app though, I learned a lot about them by digging into this.
