Update timeline using the API

Is there a way to update the Timeline of an order using this or any other API? I was googling around and found some threads where people asked for this feature, but couldn't find if Shopify added this feature to the API?

If anyone know any way to add updates to the timeline of an order, please let me know I would be very grateful.
