The stayID covered by nurseCare is particularly few
The nurseCare table contains only 13,052 stay_ids, while the eICU v2.0 database includes 200,859 ICU stays. Is there anything wrong?
Nursing care documentation may not be used much in sites that were not using the eicu software for primary documentation and may have been lower priority to interface data in. As opposed to continuous infusion medications where most did not directly document but about 1/3 of sites (in the time frame of the eICU CRD data) either documented or interfaced in the data from the bedside charting system. I believe about 70% interfaced in the medication orders and nearly all interfaced in lab values. You can explore documentation patterns by ICU for data of interest to get an idea of who had reliable data.

Thanks very much.
I couldn’t find any information about 'Line Care' and 'Drain/Tube Care' in the nurseCare table. Maybe it’s for the reason you mentioned. Could I find this kind of data in any other table? I need PICC, ventricular drains, urinary catheters...
@obadawi Sorry, I have another question (above). Do you know about it?
