Unable to get sound files (.SND) to work with Lurking Horror (Infocom)

Using the latest version of Zoom on Mac 10.11.6 and Lurking Horror Release 221 / Serial number 870918 I am unable to get sound working with this game. I have tested these same sound files with the Windows version of Frotz and I can confirm they work on this interpreter. Anyone offer a solution here? Thanks.

Unfortunately, Zoom doesn't support sound yet, so it's not possible to get sound from any of the games at the moment.

It's also worth noting that Zoom uses the Blorb format rather than the original Infocom resource files: if sound support is ever added you'll need the .blb files from https://www.ifarchive.org/indexes/if-archiveXinfocomXmediaXblorb.html rather than the original .snd files.
