As i can see the mod is updated at the 20w45a snapshot (if I'm right the first snapshot for 1.17). If you want to use the mod in this version i think you have to compile it on your own.

Build the mod yourself instead of downloading an already compiled jar. But it doesn't work on the latest snapshot. I think that the 1.17 version will be released with the new version, so during the next summer.
