Addon working with remote svn server

Hi,

Is the only working mode of the extension to use a "local" svn server? Is there any way to work with a remote svn server, so with no access to svn executable? I didn't find any information about that. I have TortoiseSVN installed and working well with a remote repository on my NAS. My repository is reachable in Tortoise through the URL svn://nas-home/repo_name.
