SVN status does not show for modified files in VSCode Explorer view

Issue

Modified files are not marked with 'M' status in Explorer. Changes appear in the Source Control view which is great but not as convenient as directly in the Explorer. I have tried with previous version 1.42.1 and there is the same issue. The file language is Javascript if that matters. What is the latest VSCode version this functionality has been confirmed to work with?

Steps to Reproduce

1. Modify a SVN versioned file.
2. The Source Control tab will show a number indicating how many changes.
3. The Explorer view does not show a 'M' or any color indication that the file has changed.
