Stash all tabs from same Container Group

Thank you for this great extension!

Problem Statement

I was hoping for Container support as some sort of a filter to stash any tab that is in the same container type/group, i.e. "Reading", and put them all in a new Stash.

I wouldn't mind if the info what container they're from or that container's colour is lost after stashing. It's just a(nother) way to quickly cleanup similar tabs w/o having to manually shift-select them.

I presume getting access to the container info is possible as other extension also have/use containers (see below).

Preferred Solution(s)

In the Tab Context Menu add a new item "Stash all Tabs from Container {name}"

Instead of "Saved" this new Stash Group could/should have the Container's name as the prefix.

Nice to have: If the Container name/type is somehow preserved (i.e. using tags OR the default Stash name), opening a bookmark from that Stash would also re-open the URL in said Container.

Additional Context

As @metasean suggested in #125 , adding a tag to each bookmark to reference their source container name would be a nice (opt-in) feature. However, changing or deleting Container Settings in FF may "break" this weak link. That's is on the user to fix - or simply ignore.

AFAIK "Scrapyard" also has Container access https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/scrapyard/

Hi, thanks for the feature request!

You're right that it's possible for extensions to get container info. However, this requires additional permissions that Tab Stash doesn't currently ask for, so probably something like this would have to come along with more general support for containers (to justify the extra permissions to users). I'll keep this in mind for a future release though!

I believe this feature request became obsolete as it's now possible with the release of 2.10 to quickly pick these tabs from the "Unstashed Tabs" and handle them. I'll have a more indepth play with the new selection feature, but I think this one can be closed. Will report back soon.

Thanks! I'll keep it open just in case others have a similar request (they can add their thoughts as well/see that it's already been requested), but I'm glad to hear the multi-selection feature helped here!

It help, but you know what would help even more? If there was a (customisable) keyboard shortcut to perform the selection part in Tab Stash. I added a new feature requeat so things stay organised and people may find the other issue useful for other reasons.
