Open all in new window?
Question
I could be overlooking it, but is there no way to open a group of stashed tabs into a new window? It seems they only go in the current window (with the option of Ctrl to do in 'background', which I didn't see much of a difference with).
If not, I consider this a "gotta have" feature request for me to make use of this. I want/need to keep my tab groups "atomic" from each other - where each stash group is all the items for a given project. When I need to switch to another project, I would expect that I could select the group and have it pop up a new window with all the given tabs restored. (Personally, I'm surprised this isn't the default behavior, much less one that isn't even possible...?)
I presume I could do the multistep process of a Ctrl-N to open a new window, switch to it, find the stashgroup I need and then open it into a new window, but why isn't that already just possible from the icons under the stashgroup? I have about 200 tabs that I have been keeping organized and preserved in about 12-13 windows/workspaces and was hoping this tool would let me just open each workspace on demand.
Happy to discuss further as needed...

Hi Brian,
Unfortunately there's not a way to do this today, but I understand why it would be useful to open a group into a new window, and I'll certainly keep it in mind for the future.
As to why Tab Stash was designed this way, from what I've seen, most people use only one browser window, yet still keep dozens or hundreds(!) of tabs open. So the idea behind Tab Stash and the toolbar button's "stash everything and show your stash" behavior is that it functions like a "switch-task" button--when you've finished one thing and want to move on to something else, that single click will save everything, clear your plate, and show you all the things you have saved, so you can choose what to do next. In theory, you would only be dealing with a small number of tabs at a time and wouldn't need multiple browser windows. Reality, of course, is messier than this.
Thanks also for noting that Ctrl wasn't making much of a difference on restoring groups. It matters for individual tabs but I think you're right that it doesn't help with groups--I'll look into this further. It might even be possible to repurpose Ctrl for your "Open group in a new window" suggestion.
