AutoCompleteTextView problem

Can somebody review this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15352148/actionbarsherlock-and-custom-textbox-extends-autocompletetextview

Bug is easily reproducible - just add AutoCompleteTextView to Overlay example from sample library.

If this can't be fixed within the library does anyone have idea on a workaround (which color to use with setTextColor that would work across all Android version, whether or not they have Holo).
