Support for images? border?

Can it show shaped/normal images ? Can I add border (color&size) ?

How to use a normal image? I meant using an image, so that it will be inside a filled circle. This can be useful for items that need a placeholder icon, that don't have an image or a letter to show.

I agree, that could be useful. It is not implemented right now.

It also makes sense, according to the description of your library: "Replicates android L contacts icon view" The contacts app has images too. And it will show a placeholder if there is no name and image:
