About CasaOS Alpha Team

This is a community-driven CasaOS testing team, and we alpha test each version as it is pre-released. It is making the official release more stable.

Why join?

It's a relatively easy way to contribute to CasaOS and get early access to the latest features.

Team members will get access to the CasaOS Alpha Team role and unique icon in Discord, and access to the CasaOS Alpha team on GitHub for more information on what's in development.

How to join?

Apply to @JohnGuan#4340 in Discord.

We will develop an automated process/robot at a later date.

How to exit?

• Self opt-out
• Inactivity in three successive rounds of testing
• Malicious behaviors

How Alpha Testing Works

Before testing

Read the Alpha Testing Announcement

The developers will issue an alpha testing announcement for each version as it is completed.

1. Check out the testing scope
2. Check out the features and UI changes in the version
3. Install/update CasaOS

Testing in progress

1. Check the features and UI

See if the features are implemented as expected and if the user interface is displayed properly.

You can refer to the Alpha Wiki by @zarevskaya (zarev).

2. Report bugs

Check and search in CasaOS Alpha Testing Project to see if anyone has mentioned the same bug.

• if so, comment that you too have encountered the problem or add more information.
• If not, report new bugs here.

We will track these issues in CasaOS Alpha Testing Project.

3. Add more information

If developers need more information, they will leave a message in issues and Discord to get more details.
