Content-State via the Web Share API?
A new spec coming out of the Web Apps WG in the W3C is the Web Share API:
https://www.w3.org/TR/web-share/#api-definition
The target of the share is not defined in the spec, but there is an API for sharing files/data/URLs from one context to another.
We should consider a protocol section about using this API to share a content-state annotation.
(From discussion call) Action: Tom to make contact with WG.
Blocked until we get v0.3 published.
Done, at last: https://github.com/w3c/web-share/issues/194
Given the discussion about the support for web-share and the timelines for both, I propose to defer until 1.1
Discussion on call 2021-03-03: Defer until web-share reaches a stable state of PR or TR in the W3C
Propose transfer, noting that web-share is now in CR: https://www.w3.org/TR/web-share/
:+1: to transfer
web share is now a fully baked spec. we could come back to this at some point.
