Text Area cannot be labeled

Hi! I'd like to be able to label text that is inputted by the user via the TextArea tag however this feature is not possible yet. Please see the below example.

With a regular Text tag, I can select a label and highlight a word and it will then highlight that word with the color of the label and save the label. Just like this.

With TextArea however I can select a label and highlight a word but nothing else happens. The label does not apply anything to the highlighted word.

If this functionality can be added to TextArea that would be great! Thank you
