Latency becomes higher when alt tabbing
Sometimes when I alt tab from some other application back into Helion my latency is doubled from ~20ms to ~50ms. It's very noticeable and makes the game unplayable. I have vsync enabled, my monitor is 60hz, I'm in fullscreen mode, and I'm on Windows 11 if that helps.
What are the CPU and GPU? I have tested this scenario and others have as well with vsync enabled and couldn't reproduce. How are you measuring the latency? The built in FPS counter or something else?
My CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor and my GPU is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. I'm measuring latency using the NVIDIA overlay. I can't get a screenshot of it though for some reason, the window keeps disappearing when I try.

I suspect this could be a windows issue where its not using latency optimizations for the window anymore. By default Windows will triple buffer windows which would explain why the latency is going up. Does changing from windowed back to fullscreen change it? Does disabling vsync affect the alt+tab issue?
Disabling vsync seems to stop alt tabbing from increasing the latency but switching from full screen to windowed and back does not. Also I have triple buffering set to off in NVIDIA control panel, though there is no "default" option so off might just mean default, I'm not sure.
I only added this profile when I started experiencing the issue so it's not caused by me mucking around in those options I think.
