Browser Access method not being tried

We are trying to use the Browser access method (reasons: our organisation prohibits basic auth AND users are already authenticated in their browser AND it allows us to control access via AD).

However no matter how we configure the plugin cannot get browser to connect directly to the Pi Web API endpoint - evident in the screenshot..

• CORS is configured correctly - as you can see in the console connecting to the same endpoint with fetch works from the browser session
