After the latest beta updates (currently on 2024030900), incoming SMS/MMS messages are delayed anywhere from minutes to hours

I got same problem after reinstalling a clean "shiba-factory-2024031400". I had to manually change Network. Didn't get this bug on the initial installation "shiba-factory-2024020500". The initial installation was done without simcard inserted. The 2nd clean install was with the simcard already inserted during installation process. Even switching back to the original simcard network provider the problem persist.

I noticed this same issue on 3/15 and still having same problem today. I'm currently on stable channel 2024031400. I'm not sure when I got this release as my phone has been updating a lot automatically lately, but I suppose it's possible it happened on the last release as well.

A couple of reboots seems to have fixed it for now, maybe worth a shot?

On 3/15, short term fix was 1 reboot, then resurfaced again today. I can certainly try 10 reboots, 1 hell Mary and hope for the best 😁

Lol... But in all seriousness, this should be prioritized as it affects very core functionality of using a phone for communication

Ever since the string of updates that occurred a few weeks ago I have also been getting not only delayed text messages, but I have also had instances where I am not receiving some messages at all. I have looked at a friends phone to see our conversation and there have been messages that they sent within the last 3 weeks that I have still never received. I have rebooted dozens of times and nothing has worked.

This doesn't appear to be an OS issue but rather a carrier issue or issue with your configuration. You need to reset cellular settings and check APN configuration.

I just noticed this issue as well. My regular user received empty text messages for several days, and I finally realized they were MMS (pictures) messages. When I switched to the "Owner" user, it successfully pulled them down; then when I switched back to the regular user, it displayed them properly.

While having this issue (not sure if its related but it may be likely), I tried to reply to a system-generated text message (having a 5-digit phone number) with a "yes". It remained stuck at "Sending..." but then when I switched to the "Owner" user, there was a pop-up asking me whether to allow this message because may incur charges based on my data rates. I never saw this pop-up as my regular user, but when I switched over to the "Owner" user it popped up. Seems like that was blocking the sending of my text message and also affecting the download fo pics as MMS messages, is my guess. Just wanted to contribute to this thread in case it helps.
