Keyboard focus not well set

Open elst1us opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

When using default browser (Vanadium, version 128.0.6613.99.0) to enter text in text boxes, focus on the text box sometimes vanishes and keyboard sometimes disappears. This happens consistently with https://www.google.com/travel/flights when entering destination. Then, I need to tap on the text box again to enter just a character at a time.

May be a site bug.

Also, using the default keyboard. Happens sometimes on some other websites as well.

Happens for me as well. Had it on various websites and some apps. Keyboard dissappears randomly after pressing 1 or 2 keys and you then start accidentally pressing all random things on website for a few moments because you expect the keyboard to still be open.

Can reproduce this issue when launching Vanadium and immediately tapping on the search bar, the Keyboard is minimized. This doesn't happen if waiting for half a second before tapping the search bar. Enabling/Disabling DCLM doesn't change anything.

(tested with Gboard and stock on a p8p with Vanadium 128.0.6613.146)

Encountering the same issue on my Pixel 7 and Vanadium 130.0.6723.73.0.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new tab (either incognito or standard tab)
  2. Tap the search field as quickly as you can
  3. Keyboard will start appearing and immediately disappear right after

This is still an issue on OS version 2025090600 and Vanadium 140.0.7339.51.0, DCLM disabled.
