From what I'm reading here this should be rather easy: https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/WebExtensions/API/permissions

Yes, it's a tricky conundrum. Keeping the behavior consistent is desirable, and so is not turning people away due to too many big permissions. Here's an idea that may work:...

What do you mean by this? Is this related to https://github.com/SufficientlySecure/calendar-import-export/issues/46 ?

Wow! That would be FANTASTIC! I'm without a working calendar app right now (using good ol' pen and paper) due to this issue. I forgot how much I like pen...

Sounds great! I'll tell you my understanding of the issue, which may or may not be accurate. ;-) Calendar apps delete events in offline calendars by flagging them for deletion....

The app named _aCalendar_ available at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendar is able to edit/delete individual events within repeated series in offline calendars. How are they able to do it?

@dschuermann AFAIK, it is closed source. Are you able to confirm my findings that it is able to do this? Maybe you will have an "Aha!" moment if/when you see...

@Shawniac Interesting. I tested using KitKat, so perhaps that is the difference. I remember it definitely working when testing with aCalendar. Perhaps something changed in Lollipop.

@jgriffiths Debug logging for this app just outputs more data to logcat, correct? No special log file is created, right?

@jgriffiths Here is the logcat of an export in which deleted events from a local calendar are included in the export: http://pastebin.com/5KfdFtwk
