just started breaking, no idea why
Hi, I'm on the latest Developer edition of MacOS Sequoia 15.3.
Gifox just started NOT allowing me to stop a recording of a full window. I hit the Escape key. I opened Gifox using the MacOS Spotlight feature (which usually stops a recording.) I also did that finger gesture that shows all windows open across all apps, which gave a dialog with a stop button next to the window that was being recorded. I pressed that and nothing happened.
I shut everything down and reopened Gifox. It has a file for the gif I was recording when the issue started. When I try to open in Finder, the gif that Gifox shows me is there is not there in finder, only the last recording I made with no glitch. When I open the file in Gifox gif editor mode (I love that by the way), it initializes a spinning wheel of death. Doesn't come out of it, I have to force quit.
I use a lot of different apps that have keyboard shortcuts, so it's possible there's keyboard shortcut conflicts.
Other than that, I can only suppose that somehow Gifox isn't debugged for the latest releases for MacOS?
No other idea, but I don't use any other gif recording tool. So, I'm stumped.
I know this kind of write up isn't that helpful if it's broken on my machine and for no one else. But, just letting you know in case it's not debugged for latest release. Because then it will be happening for everyone very soon.
Hey @mpstaton , thanks for reaching out and reporting this. So far, we haven’t received any reports of issues with the latest version of macOS, but there’s always a chance it could occur. To help us investigate and understand the problem better, could you please share your diagnostics data with us?
Hey @mpstaton, I'm going to close this down, but if you have any additional details or comments, please let me know and I'll have another look? 👍
