Cool Project But it has 2 or 3 issues that I encountered
I followed the instructions on the docker-compose setup.
My first Issue I noticed was stuttering in the video. It didn't happen all the time but it was noticable.
My second issue was with audio. It worked out of the box for me, however my friend couldnt get audio to work whatso ever
My third issue I encountered was that when I had 2 users already viewing the stream a third one failed to display anything. dev console in chrome
I am running chrome version: 88.0.4324.190
Hi, the stuttering is a known issue however I have not come to the root cause yet. Try switching keyframe interval to 3 instead of 0. In regards to the audio issues I have never experienced this or had anyone experience this. My only thought is that maybe the video is muted?
The video wasn't muted. I thought it was strange as well Because I can get it to work perfectly. I will look into it further.
I will try switching the keyframe interval when I get a chance.
Any idea why only 2 people could view a stream?
I am unsure why you are limited to 2 people. I have had more than 2 people viewing it before.
Anything i can try? or more information I could give you in regards to that?
The dev console you pasted was from the person who could not see anything correct?
yes
Did they try pressing the play button on the video player?
They did multiple times. refreshing the page. The only way it worked was if one of the clients quit watching the stream
Where are you hosting the lightspeed server?
a ovh vps in quebec
what is the bandwidth?
500mbit up/down 2 vcpus. 4gb ram.
it wasnt hitting any cpu limits in htop. sitting around 15% cpu usage
hm weird. I have not heard of this problem before and I am not sure what would be causing it
I will give it a shot a little later. See if I can see why it was failing to work.
is it possible for the docker containers to give more verbose output?
as of right now the logging capabilities are quite limited
I can't get more than one viewer to work at once. As soon as the one that has the working stream closes it, the other can can get it to work by opening new tab/refresh.
Tried again after restarting everything and now I'm stuck at max 2 clients (same as OP) Running all of this in docker using the default docker-compose. Firewall off and have even tried putting the server in DMZ.
