Sndcpy Integration?

Open SentaiBrad opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Is there any chance of https://github.com/rom1v/sndcpy being directly integrated into the GUI?

This has been done on scrcpy-gui in this fork : https://github.com/hanks-zyh/scrcpy-gui Could be a good base to implement in this project if allowed?

I'm currently working on a rewrite of a big part of the program. I honestly haven't looked into sndcpy much as my computer doesn't have Bluetooth, which i believe is required.

Well in the description of sndcpy it explicitly says that it's to avoid connecting device by bluetooth no? It seems to use adb + vlc

possibly. I'm not exactly sure how that project works.

No need to do this anymore scrcpy 2.0 includes audio support now and it's even better than sndcpy https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/releases/tag/v2.0 https://twitter.com/scrcpy_app/status/1634742934946955265?s=20 image

Late reply but rom1v (the dev) said that sndcpy is a proof of concept and that forwarding audio through bluetooth is still the best way. Sndcpy works though wired adb just like scrcpy

I believe that SCRCPY v2 has sound support. When we update to v2, we will just use that.
