The one missing feature that prevents me from switching entirely to FeedEx yet is basic auth. It would be great if I could simply enter a username and password in the settings of each feed.

Why do we need to enter username and password? I think its useless..

There are rss feeds which needs authentication (e.g. gmail).

if its for Gmail I would better use gmail app for that..

Gmail was just an example.

For example phpBB allows to receive feeds for private forums when you are authenticated.

I think you can enter the feed url like this : http://username:[email protected]

Thank you @NaWer, I will try that.

No. Doesn't seem to work.

Is it working now? If not I'd like to reopen it.

Well, no it's not. Sorry, but when I published the v2 I closed every existing issues. There was a lot of obsoletes and a lot of advertisement posts at that time, so it was simpler to close everything and restart from scratch.

I would also like to use Flym with some closed feeds. My use-case is viewing the changelogs of Wikis on the go.
