Gamemode only works in game launcher

I launch game "squad" in Steam in launcher mangohood shows status ON and in the game mangohood shows status OFF

As I understand it, the game first launches launcher.exe and then squadgame.exe And gamemode only applies to launcher.exe

How to make gamemode work in squadgame.exe

You didn't say where you put 'gamemoderun'. Did you put it in launch option of the game?

I’m having the same issue with Elden Ring. On steam I have these launch options: “gamemoderun mangohud %command%”.

mangohud shows gamemode is on when the Easy Anti Cheat loading window pops up, but in game it’s off. If I try to get the game to run without EAC, forcing it into offline mode, mangohud shows gamemode is on in the game.

I have the same issue. I use gamemode 1.8.1 and the game I attempted to launch with gamemode is Elden Ring. I modified the launcher to gamemoderun mangohud %command%. Mangohud shows that the EAC windows has gamemode set to "on". The actual game's hud indicates that it is set "off". Other games, without EAC launcher, set it to "on" correctly.

Bumping this because I have the same issue. It seems to apply primarily to the EAC window before not working. Same issue in Armored Core 6.

I have this issue when using Mod Organizer 2 on Debian 12 with its GameMode 1.7.2.
