Keybind doesn't work with "Hide Top Bar" extension
Bug Report
Current Behavior Keybind doesn't open the emoji selector when extension "Hide top bar" ([email protected]) is enabled
Expected behavior/code keybind opens the emoji selecter even when top bar is hidden by the extension "hide top bar"
Environment
- emoji-copy version(s): 14
- OS: EndeavourOS Linux, Gnome 45
Hello @kimo-supremo! Thank you for reporting this issue! :tada:
I just installed the extension in my system using yay: yay -Sy gnome-shell-extension-hidetopbar-git. This is the way I found to install this extension on Gnome 45.
Can you send me some configurations I can make to approach your situation, please?
Testing here, looks like it's opening using the hide on top extension.
I shall test the pop-up position, it's appearing on the left side here...
Those are my configs. For some reason Emoji Copy doesn't open on either side when I use the keybind but it seems to be working (I cannot actually see the emoji selector but once I type the name of an emoji and press enter it pastes the emoji). possible because I'm using a dual monitor it's not showing?
Hey, @kimo-supremo!
I just copied your configs here, the Emoji Copy is still working great! Can you make a few tests to help me find out what is happening?
- Can you test Emoji Copy with just one monitor? Unfortunately, I don't have access to a second monitor right now, so I can not test if that's causing this issue.
- Can you disable all other extensions and enable just HideOnTop and EmojiCopy? Just to make sure it's HideOnTop that is causing it!
- Can you reinstall HideOnTop and EmojiCopy?
Please, share your experiments and outcomes! :tada: Thank you!
